Make a paper pattern for your Christmas tree.

To make a paper pattern for your Christmas tree, decide on the desired width and height. For example, my tree is 5.5 inches wide and 9 1/4 inches tall. Cut a rectangular piece of scrap paper to match these dimensions. Fold the paper in half, then make a cut from the top of the fold to the bottom edge. Unfold the paper, and there you have it – a tree!

Deciding the size and shape of your tree pillow

Using your pattern as a guide

I will cut out a front piece of fabric and a back piece of sherpa based on your pattern. If you are making two plaid pillows, make sure to cut out each of the front pieces separately to ensure that the pattern is identical.

Place the fabric wrong side up. Lay the pattern on it, pin, and report the tree shape on the fabric.

Put the fabric upside down. Put the pattern on top, pin it, and trace the shape of the tree on the fabric.

Use scissors to clip around all the rounded edges and clip into the corners.

When trimming around the rounded edges and corners of the tree using scissors, it ensures that when the tree is turned right side out, all the corners and curves lay flat.

Stuff The Pillow

I recommend filling your pillow with fiber-fil until it reaches your desired level of firmness.

Close The Pillow

Next, fold the unfinished edges at the gap under, and secure the gap with pins.
